Next Chapter Meeting - Friday, November 21st, 2008 - 11:00AM to 12:30PM
Come join us for our next Upstate SC ISSA meeting held in convenient Downtown Greenville. The meeting will cover:
  • Presentation: You're Compliant - But Are You Secure?
  • Dan Ramaswami, Senior Security Engineer with Sourcefire (www.sourcefire.com), will discuss the importance of creating a security program that protects your enterprise and produces compliance as a by-product. Any compliance effort that focuses strictly on a given set of requirements to check off will not produce long-lasting success. If security is built into your operations, and your mindset, you will be better able to handle changes in existing rules and new regulations that come up. As we know they will.
  • Please RSVP for the event by sending an Email to webmaster@upstate-issa.org.
  • Catered box lunches will be provided at a nominal cost of $10 per person. If you'd like to eat lunch with us, please make sure to RSVP to webmaster@upstate-issa.org at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. Also, please include any type of drink you would like to have.
  • DIRECTIONS
Hack the Flag! - Wednesday, December 10th (5:30pm to 9:30pm) and Saturday, December 13th (8:30am to 12:30pm)
Looking for Real World experience in hacking and defending networks and their systems? Operate as a professional penetration tester or as a malicious attacker in this four-hour event. A nominal fee of $25 will be charged to cover expenses for non-Upstate SC ISSA memebers with all proceeds going to the Upstate SC ISSA Chapter. If interested in attending, please register by sending an Email address to webmaster@upstate-issa.org.
